I added Fall 2: Deadpoint to my watchlist back in June, and the new trailer dropped yesterday. I can't imagine being stuck on that plank thousands of feet up!!! Terrifying. I know I would freak out and probably have a panic attack. I would lose it. But I would try to tell myself to calm down and think about what to do next, because freaking out doesn't help.
Anyway, once I got past that thought, something else caught my attention. I was curious about that mountain with the plank walkway. It looked familiar, like I've seen it before somewhere. Not that I've ever been there, maybe just photos. Turns out that's it, I really have seen it before.
That mountain in Thailand isn't real, by the way. It's a fictional place made up for the movie. But damn, it looks real. It's amazing what movies can do.
The plank walkway is actually based on a real place, the Huashan Plank Trail in China. That's why it looked familiar. Hiking like that looks scary. I can see why they call it one of the most dangerous hikes in the world.
