Blaugust was started by Mark "Belghast" Temple, who we sadly lost earlier this summer. The community he built is keeping the event going in his honor, and that feels exactly right.
And you don’t have to post all 31 days to be part of it. Post 5 times in August for the Bronze award, 15 for Silver, 25 for Gold, and all 31 for the Rainbow Diamond. First-timers earn the Blauginner award just for jumping in.

My 2026 constellation
These are my own homemade badges, not the official awards. The mentors didn't release new badge art for 2026 the way past years' media kits did, so I made my own while I wait. The constellation grows as I post: 5 stars at Bronze, 15 at Silver, 25 at Gold, and 31 stars in a diamond if I post every single day of August.
