Ever wonder why you're a picky โ or should I say, finicky โ eater? I've been asking myself that for years. Turns out, it might literally start before birth. ๐ค

I just read a fascinating article by a nutritional neuroscientist โ and it turns out my finicky ways were set in motion long before my first meal!
Add in the genes that make certain people extra sensitive to bitter tastes (about 70% of us!), and suddenly my complicated relationship with certain foods makes a lot more sense.
Brussels sprouts, and kale? Hard pass โ and now I finally have science to back me up. ๐ (Though I'll admit, broccoli and I have made peace over the years โ so maybe there's hope yet!)
Decades later, plenty of foods are still firmly on my no-thanks list โ I'm still that same finicky eater, and restaurants remain an adventure in navigation. Apparently, I was never weird โ I was just well-programmed.
Curious if any of you fellow finicky eaters have wondered the same thing?
