These numbers cover 2026 only, and only what I've posted here on Micro.blog. They aren't where the blog starts.
I've been at this since 2004. Twenty-two years, eight platforms, and a lot of writing that lives in exports and old databases rather than here. This page counts platform number eight.
* Word counts are an estimate. Movie synopses, book blurbs, dictionary definitions and quoted link text are subtracted, since I didn't write them. Roundup posts are left out too, because those words already counted once as micros.
** The bars are compressed. Drawn to scale, the smaller categories would be slivers you can't compare. Read the ranking off the bars and the size off the number.
Categories add up to more than the post count on purpose — a post can carry both a topic and a placement.
