The Library I'd Never Leave

Twisted Brick Shell Library

This library in China might be the coziest building I've ever seen. It's two brick domes joined by a twisting wall, shaped like a shell that wraps around whoever steps inside. The architect designed it to "cuddle visitors" out in the middle of an open field, and honestly, mission accomplished.

There's a brick bench built into half the interior, tiny acrylic domes with poetry etched at eye level, and low windows that frame the farmland outside while you sit and read. Give me a good book, that curved brick wall at my back, and I am not leaving.
