I've had this happen more times than I can count: someone with an iPhone reacts to a photo I sent, but all I see on my end is "loved an image." No idea which one, especially if I sent a few in a row. Sigh.
That's finally getting fixed. iOS 27 will properly tag reactions to the actual image or message on the Android side, emoji and all, instead of that vague text description. Small fix, but it's the kind of thing that makes cross-platform texting feel less like a workaround.
Only catch: I won't see it in real time until the iPhone users around me actually update, and that won't happen until this fall, when iOS 27 ships for real. Until then, I'll keep guessing which photo got the heart, or the love, or the like.
