Happy Independent Bookstore Day!
I should buy from local or online independent bookstores like Bookshop.org, but I keep buying from Amazon.com. 🙄 No local bookstore in my town, but there might be one or two nearby. I haven’t checked. Hopefully, that will change.

I used the Kindle app for PC years back and wondered why anyone would bother. A mobile or tablet app always seemed more practical – but I suppose it’s a personal preference. Either way, Amazon is discontinuing the Kindle for PC app on June 30, 2026, replacing it with a Windows 11-only version.

I love watching home decor videos. Came across BrownstoneBoys’ YouTube video and watched it. I loved what they did to their home — especially the old house work. One day I’d love to own an old house and actually live in it.

On my watchlist: Coyote vs. ACME 🍿 I love Coyote. He never gives up and doesn’t care if he gets hurt!

Watched: Agent from Above Season 1 last night.

I enjoyed every episode and I hope they will do another season soon. ★★★★☆
Watched: Invitation to a Murder two or three nights ago. ★★★★☆
I thoroughly enjoyed this film! It perfectly captured that classic Agatha Christie magic I love in a good detective story.

It’s set in 1930s England; six strangers are summoned to a remote island estate, and when bodies start turning up, an aspiring detective must find the killer among them before it’s too late.
I was so excited to find out there is a sequel out—Murder at the Embassy—and another on the way: The Mystery of the Golden Spear.
Gotta watch the sequel soon. I can’t wait to see more of Miranda Green!
Watched: Mr. K 🍿

It’s a rather unusual film, and I’m still trying to understand how it holds a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. There isn’t much to explain what is actually happening to the place as he wanders through it; he’s essentially trapped in an architectural labyrinth. I can’t help but feel like I missed the point of the story, so I might need to re-watch it someday.
However, I definitely agree with this description:
A beautiful eerie nightmare. — Shantelle Santos
