My Browser Stack

Three browsers on Mac. One on Android. Each has a specific job and I like it that way.

Brave is my daily driver on both platforms. It handles pretty much everything — general browsing, research, shopping, social media. Privacy-focused out of the box, fast, and I never have to think too hard about it. On Android, it’s the only browser I use. Simple.

Arc on Mac has one very specific role: it’s what opens when an external app fires a link. My email client, Talanoa, sends links straight to Arc — and it opens in Little Arc, a small floating window just for that quick look. No full browser, no tab clutter. Read it, close it, done.

AI will set to become a part of our daily lives eventually. This one is no surprise!

The main part of these plans is Wonder Create, an initiative that lets anyone—whether food entrepreneurs or social media influencers—to design and launch their own restaurant brand in less than a minute w/ AI. This virtual restaurant would then be introduced across Wonder’s growing network of tech-enabled kitchen locations, which currently number 120 & are expected to reach 400 next year.

Meta is threatening to pull Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp from New Mexico rather than comply with child safety demands following a $375 million verdict.

Even if Meta were to “take their ball and leave the state,” it may soon find fewer places in the US to go. — New Mexico AG Raúl Torrez

Dozens of AGs are pushing similar actions. If platforms would rather exit than comply, the social media map could start looking very different.

“In the past, our view of the world was shaped in part by how artists saw the world, how Picasso painted changed how we saw the word, how Warhol talked about consumerism, pop culture, that changed how he saw those things.” — Artist Beeple, Mike Winkelmann

I read a blog about websites built by AI. Not surprised. I bet it hits 75% by 2030. Maybe sooner.

I used to hand-code HTML and CSS — hours, days, sometimes weeks. Now Claude helps me build my micro.blog in 30–40 minutes. AI catches errors in seconds that used to take me forever. I have no shame in using AI to save my time.

The Internet Archive data shows the web transformed in three years after ChatGPT’s launch from zero AI content to more than one-third. We’re seeing the fastest shift in internet composition since the web began.

I envy the phones out there that we can’t get here. It is just Samsung, Google Pixel, or iPhones everywhere. That kinda sucks. Sure, there are Motorola, TCL, Nothing, and many other mid-range phones, but none rank in the top 3. I would love to see Oppo, Huawei, or Xiaomi sold in the US!

A gulf is growing between the phones on sale in the US and those available in the rest of the world. US phone buyers are missing out. Read more from dompreston.com: The US gets the worst phones. Will Apple’s new CEO fix it?

I used to use or fool around with Linux many years ago. I enjoyed it for a while but I never stay But I always back to Windows or Mac. I think it is the limit of apps at that time really lost me interested to stay with Linux. Perhaps I should try it again one day!

Funny thing — Android actually runs on the Linux kernel. You’d never know it looking at your phone, and I say that as an Android user.

Ace won 3 out of 5 games against elite players w/ 10 yrs or more of experience, but lost 2 against players.

So, will we see robots playing against humans in the tournaments one day?

“The success of Ace, with its perception system and learning-based control algorithm, suggests that similar techniques could be applied to other areas requiring fast, real-time control and human interaction, such as manufacturing and service robotics, as well as applications across sports, entertainment and safety-critical physical domains.” — lead author and project lead at Sony AI Peter Dürr

I always check AI’s sources, citations, or quotations to ensure they are accurate. That is why they always include a disclaimer on AI platforms. AI may make mistakes.

Never trust AI responses, stay critical and do spot checks. One of the biggest mistakes when using AI is considering responses as the truth. It would be a recipe for a disaster from a credibility perspective. Trust but check applies here.

I used the Kindle app for PC years back and wondered why anyone would bother. A mobile or tablet app always seemed more practical – but I suppose it’s a personal preference. Either way, Amazon is discontinuing the Kindle for PC app on June 30, 2026, replacing it with a Windows 11-only version.
