After watching Google’s 2026 I/O, I am excited about Gemini & some of its AI features that I’m eager to try. I’ll share some soon, so stay tuned! I’m curious how people will respond since not everyone is comfortable w/ AI in an OS. I don’t mind, but it shld always be an option to turn them off.
Medical tech keeps getting weirder and better. Chewing gum that fights gum disease is apparently a real thing now.

TIL something new. There are 4 levels of chargers. Learn more if you are considering buying an EV car.
Not all electric vehicle (EV) chargers are equal. Just like USB port types can vary, how an EV receives power can vary greatly depending on the type of charger being used.

Here's What Every EV Charger Type Actually Means
An electric vehicle may spare you the headache of visiting a gas pump, but you'll still have to make sure to find the right kind of charger for your car.
I have a Samsung M8 32-inch monitor with a built-in camera, but it’s not convenient to position the camera where I want it because it doesn’t move freely or rotate 360 degrees. Unfortunately, I hardly use it. Lesson learned.
I prefer to buy an external webcam because:
One key reason is the existence of external webcams, which generally offer greater quality and flexibility.
And if your monitor gets too old, you can replace it and still use the webcam.

What will Googlebooks offer that make them worth Google changing direction from Chromebooks?
I had a Pixelbook years ago and was excited — until I wasn’t. ChromeOS already baked in Android apps and it wasn’t that great. So will a full Android-based OS actually change things, or just move the problem around?
I want a full desktop experience. Android can’t match iPadOS in app quality and desktop experience, despite Android’s AI edge. I just bought a MacBook Air. If Googlebook matures into a true desktop experience, it could make my next laptop shortlist. Give it a couple of years.
I am guilty. I am one of those who pay for AI subscriptions. But I don’t hate AI. I paid almost $200 for 4 Generative AIs. I am trying to decide which ones I want to keep…I used the most in order:
Claude (pretty almost everything)
Gemini (general chats/questions and checking website/app coding when Claude is stuck on)
ChatGPT (Generative images)
Notion AI (do whatever I need within pages or docs)

“Humanoid robots have been everywhere lately.” Yes, I noticed it lately and it is scary that the future is already here.
Humanoid robots have been hyped as the future of everything, from completing household chores to caring for elders to doing the dirty work on the factory floor, while Elon Musk is pivoting Tesla from cars to humanoid robots, claiming they’ll soon outnumber humans.

I tried going full monochrome on Android years ago and lasted maybe a day. I prefer seeing photos and everything else in color. Bedtime mode is the one exception — monochrome on, phone down.
Whenever I turn on the colour, I feel a bit overwhelmed. — James G
For him, grayscale. For me, color. Just comes down to preference. What's yours?
