Not everything needs 1,000 words. Here’s what caught my eye last week — a day late, but worth the wait.

Rustic outdoor copper tub in Somerset

If I ever have a spacious home, this is the vibe I’m going for. A copper tub and wood-burning stove are pure magic!

Watched: GOAT 🍿 ★★★★ — Will Harris is a literal goat in a sport built for rhinos.

Robot figure

No Robots! My home is a bot-free zone. Impressive, but not for me. Team Human all the way!

Ever wonder why every hotel drawer has a Bible? It started in 1899 when two traveling salesmen shared a room and realized weary travelers needed comfort. By 1908, their group, the Gideons, began placing them worldwide. More wild history facts here.

Virginia gun safety laws

I applaud Virginia for passing 25 vital gun safety laws — a huge step for reform. However, I'm disappointed that assault weapons with under 15 rounds remain legal. A single magazine can still kill 15 people, which is far too many. Progress is good, but we must address these high-capacity gaps.

Moon surface with Earth in the distance — Artemis II

Those photos from Artemis II were amazing!!! These are my two favorite shots.

Backrooms movie poster

Backrooms looks like a seriously messed-up movie. What is going on with the world?

Trump Easter card

It's disgusting that Trump is showing kids that video of himself after getting shot at a rally during the election season at Easter. What kind of man does that? shaking my head

Pretty Lethal

Watched: Pretty Lethal — thrilled to see Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place) as a consistent Deaf character! Uma Thurman as a campy hotelier/ballerina was a complete surprise.

Thrash

Thrash (2026) is coming to Netflix on April 10th. It involves shark(s)! 🦈 Will check it out.

I was using my iPhone 12 Max and found copying and pasting difficult when I needed to use three or more items. On Android, it's easier because I can access copy history and paste five or six items when needed. I'm glad I have an Android — without it, I would find it frustrating.

Wednesday, April 8

Gonna check out Half Man Season 1 🍿 On April 23 on HBO. I hope it's a good series.

Just watched the trailer — Apex 🍿 Will check it out when it drops on April 24th.

Luxembourg is now the second country to enshrine abortion rights in its constitution. France was first. This is a roadmap for how it should be everywhere — protecting freedom in the highest law, not just "legal for now." A massive win for equality! 👏

Penny Farthing race

I am in awe that people still race Penny Farthings. Giant front wheel, no real brakes, and if you hit a rough patch you're going headfirst over the bars — they call that a "header." The World Championship course in Eastbourne is nearly 3 miles uphill. One gear. Victorian kit. Totally normal.

Humanoid robot

The era of "someday" is over. Agibot is racing to match Tesla's Optimus output — humanoid robots are moving from labs to our streets. Science fiction is officially becoming our daily commute. 🤖🦾

Aeon robot at BMW Leipzig plant

The global humanoid race is heating up as Europe enters the ring! 🇪🇺 🤖 BMW is now testing Hexagon AB's AEON robot at its Leipzig plant, marking its first humanoid pilot in Europe. From battery assembly to precision scanning, the AI revolution is going physical.

London Bridge in Arizona

TIL the 1831 London Bridge was moved to Arizona! Built to replace the crumbling original, it eventually started sinking itself and was sold in 1968. Having seen the modern replacement in London in 2018, it's wild to think the "original" stones are now in the desert.

Madonna collage

Madonna is officially on Apple TV! 🎬 She's in Season 2 of The Studio, starring in a meta storyline about her biopic alongside Julia Garner. Filming in Venice, she looks better than ever — truly her best look in years!

Stunning bird

All I can say is that this bird is stunningly beautiful.

Remarkably Bright Creatures

Remarkably Bright Creatures is officially becoming a movie! 🐙 I haven't finished the book yet — gotta get moving before it comes out. Can't wait to see Sally Field bring this to life!

Would You Want a Robot Teacher? Neuroscientist Vivienne Ming's take: AI should never give the final answer — kids can use it to brainstorm, but must produce their own first draft. The speed of AI's integration into schools feels less like a choice and more like an inevitability.

Watched: The Yeti 🍿 Decent enough, struggled to hold my attention. ★★½☆☆

Watched: 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple 🍿 It was okay. ★★★☆☆
